Descriptions of Job Classifications

Badge Checkers:
Volunteers responsible for checking badges. These volunteers must also check picture IDs for any 18+ events at which you are stationed.

Panel Supervisor:
Volunteers responsible for helping panelist with audio and video equipment as needed. Review the panel based on a set of guidelines and inform panelists 10 minutes and then 5 minutes before the panel is scheduled to end.

Policies

Alcohol Consumption:

Volunteers are not allowed to consume alcohol while on duty. As a volunteer, you are representing Ramencon and we will not tolerate drunkenness!

Drinking on duty is grounds for immediate dismissal and removal from Ramencon 2024.

Any volunteer that shows up for a shift inebriated will be Black Listed from Volunteering.

Off duty volunteers who are 21 years or older are allowed to drink in their own room or in the hotel bar.

Missing Shifts:

Volunteers are expected to report for all of their scheduled shifts.

If a volunteer is unable to show up for a scheduled shift, they must inform Ops before the shift starts.

Staff members will be checking on volunteers during their shifts. If you are not found at your post, it will be noted in your file and you will be given a warning.

After two warnings, you will be removed from volunteering. You will not be allowed to volunteer for Ramencon 2016.

If your actions necessitate a more serious penalty, we also reserve the right to expel you from the convention.

Moving posts:

Only Volunteering Ops should move you from any of your assigned posts. If a staff member from a different department attempts to remove you from your post, please inform Ops immediately.

Accommodations:

Volunteers are responsible for their own accommodations during the convention. Ramencon will not provide rooms, food, or beverages to volunteers. Please make plans accordingly.
